This is the one place we are not "nearby"
On our Syracuse page we make an argument that is true but slightly defensive: a firm ten miles north of the city is fine for Onondaga County work, because most of the county’s courts are spread across towns and villages rather than sitting downtown.
In Cicero that argument is unnecessary. The office is here. If you live in Cicero, Brewerton, Clay or North Syracuse, you are closer to us than most of Syracuse is, and you can put a ticket or a letter from an insurer in front of somebody today rather than booking a call for next week.
A ticket written in Cicero goes to Cicero Town Court
Cicero Town Court sits at 8236 Brewerton Rd., Cicero 13039 — 315-699-8478. It handles tickets and misdemeanors arising inside the town line.
The town line is the part people get wrong. Route 11 runs the length of the town and the commercial strip does not stop where the boundary does, so a stop that feels like Cicero can belong to Clay Town Court or to a neighboring town instead. The roads this end of the county
A fair amount of what we see from Cicero comes off the same few roads:
- Route 11 through Cicero and Brewerton, commercial frontage, a lot of turning traffic, and the stretch that produces the most tickets and rear-end collisions we are asked about locally.
- Route 481 and the I-81 interchange, where merging speed differentials do most of the damage.
- Oneida Lake and the Brewerton waterfront, which makes boating claims a real category here rather than a theoretical one, and they follow different rules from a car crash.
- Winter. Lake effect off Oneida is its own problem, and the line between weather nobody is liable for and a road or lot that was not treated when it should have been is worth someone looking at.
What we handle from this office
All six, and a good deal of it never requires you to come in at all, a ticket can be dealt with from a photograph, and an uncontested divorce is decided on the papers with neither spouse appearing.

Where is your Cicero office?

I got a ticket in Cicero. Which court is it?
Cicero Town Court, at 8236 Brewerton Rd. in Cicero, unless the stop was inside another town's boundary. The court is printed on the ticket and that is what governs, go by the paperwork rather than by where you think you were when you were pulled over.
Do I need an appointment to come in?
No. Both offices take walk-ins during business hours and keep Saturday available by appointment, so you can simply come in. Calling first is still worth doing, because it means somebody has time set aside for your matter rather than fitting you in between other things already booked that day.
Is the Cicero office the main one?
It is the busier of the two and the one the main phone line rings at, but both offices handle the same work across every practice area. Which one you use is a question of which drive is shorter for you, not which kind of case you have.
What if I live in Brewerton, Clay or North Syracuse?
You are closer to this office than most of Syracuse is. Brewerton is straight up Route 11, Clay and North Syracuse are a few minutes either side, and Bridgeport and Central Square are an easy drive. It is the same office and the same first-conversation-free arrangement.
Can you handle a case in a different Onondaga County town?
